En el día de hoy se dieron a conocer las nominaciones de los BAFTA Awards, los premios que otorga la Academia Británica de Cine.
La película The Shape of Water, dirigida por Guillermo del Toro, encabeza la lista de nominados con 12 candidaturas. Entre ellas, Mejor Película, Mejor Director, Mejor Actriz para su protagonista Sally Hawkins, y Mejor Actriz de Reparto para Octavia Spencer.
La cinta Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, la gran triunfadora de los Golden Globes, y Darkest Hour acumulan un total de 9 nominaciones cada una. Mientras que Dunkirk y Blade Runner 2049, la siguen de cerca con 8.
