Anoche se llevaron a cabo los MTV Movie Awards 2012, con la conducción de Russell Brand. Las grandes ganadoras de la noche: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 y The Hunger Games.
La nueva saga juvenil no logró destronar a los vampiros que se alzaron con el popcorn a la Mejor Película del Año. Sin embargo, Los Juegos del hambre logró 4 estatuillas, incluyendo los rubros de actuación para Jennifer Lawrence y Josh Hutcherson.
MTV también rindió homenaje a Emma Stone con el Premio Pionero MTV, y a Johnny Depp le otorgaron el Premio Generación MTV. El actor tocó junto a The Black Keys, lo cual fue uno de los mejores momentos del show.
