Ganadores de los Premios BAFTA 2012

En el día de hoy se llevó a cabo la ceremonia de entrega de los premios BAFTA, desde el Royal Opera House en Londres, Inglaterra. La gran candidata de la noche era The Artist con 12 candidaturas, y la británica Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy con 11.

Ganadores de los SAG Awards

Se llevó a cabo la entrega de los SAG (Screen Actors Guild), los premios del sindicato de actores. Con las nominaciones al Oscar ya anunciadas la semana pasada, los SAG nos permiten refinar un poco más las predicciones en lo que respecta a las categorías actorales. A estas alturas ya es casi seguro que Christopher Pummer y Octavia Spencer serán galardonados como actores secundarios. Los protagónicos fueron para, Jean Dujardin, el protagonista de The Artist; y Viola Davis por su actuación en The Help, que además se llevó el premio a mejor reparto.

En la pantalla chica hubo de todo. Los ganadores fueron de lo más variado. Modern Family se llevó el galardón a mejor reparto en comedia, mientras que Boarwalk Empire fue el mejor reparto en drama. Steve Buscemi y Jessica Lange fueron los mejores actores en una serie dramática; Betty White y Alec Baldwin los mejores actores en una serie cómica.

Ganadores de los Globos de Oro

Anoche se llevó a cabo la ceremonia de entrega de la 69° edición de los Globos de Oro, otorgados por la Asociación Extranjera de Prensa de Hollywood. Todos los famosos estuvieron desfilando por la alfombra roja del Hotel Beverly Hilton, pero no todos se llevaron una estatuilla a casa.

Al igual que el año anterior, el show fue conducido por el actor/comediante británico Ricky Gervais. Tal como él había mencionado, su única condición para volver como anfitrión era que le permitieran decir cualquier cosa, y por supuesto volvió a hacerlo. Con chistes un poco más cuidados, varios de los presentes volvieron a ser el blanco de sus comentarios. A mí parecer, cero ofensivo, y muy gracioso. Pero en fin vamos a lo que nos concierne, los ganadores.

Una vez más The Artist volvió a ser la favorita y se llevó el premio a Mejor Película Comedia/Musical, al igual que su actor principal Jean Dujardin, como Mejor Actor de Comedia. El Mejor Director fue para otro favorito de la noche, Martin Scorsese, aunque su película Hugo no logró la victoria. En cambio, la que sí logró quedarse con el título de Mejor Película Dramática fue The Descendants, otra de las cintas bastante aclamada por la crítica. Su protagonista, George Clooney se quedó con la estatuilla a Mejor Actor de Drama.

En el rubro femenino hubo sorpresas. En la categoría de comedia, Michelle Williams resultó la Mejor Actriz principal por interpretar a Marilyn Monroe en My Week With Marilyn. Por su parte, todo parecía indicar que Viola Davis se iba a llevar el galardón a casa, pero finalmente Meryl Streep se consagró como la Mejor Actriz en Drama por The Iron Lady.

En la categoría de reparto los ganadores se mantuvieron estables, siendo Christopher Plummer y Victoria Spencer quienes se llevaron el reconocimiento. El Mejor Guión se lo llevó un ausente Woody Allen, y la Mejor Película Animada, Las Aventuras de Tintin, con lo cual Steven Spielberg no se fue con las manos vacías.

La pantalla chica fue de los más variado. Una vez más Modern Family fue reconocida como la Mejor Serie de Comedia, una inesperada Homeland fue el Mejor Drama, y la magnífica Donwton Abbey, la Mejor Miniserie. 

Esto ha sido todo hasta el día martes cunado se anuncien las nominaciones a los BAFTA (versión británica de los Premios de la Academia), donde seguiremos apostando por los posibles contendientes y ganadores dentro de esta carrera. A continuación dejamos toda la lista con los ganadores:

Ganadores de los Critics Choice Awards 2012

Anoche se celebraron los 17° Critics Choice Awards, la gran organización de críticos de cine de Estados Unidos y Canadá, reconocieron lo mejor de la pantalla grande del 2011.

La Mejor Película, una vez más, fue para The Artist, la cinta francesa muda en blanco y negro del director francés Michel Hazanavicius, quien también se llevó el premio a Mejor Director. Drive se quedó con la Mejor Película de Acción, y Bridesmaid como Mejor Comedia. El Mejor Actor fue para George Clooney, y Christopher Plummer, como Mejor Actor de Secundario. Por el lado de las actrices, Viola Davis fue elegida Mejor Actriz, y su compañera de reparto Octavia Spencer, como Mejor Actriz Secundaria por The Help, que además se quedó con el Critics a Mejor Reparto.

Hace unos meses subí el trailer promocional de The Help (Criadas y señoras o “Historias cruzadas” en los cines de habla hispana), película protagonizada por Emma Stone, Viola Davis, Bryce Dallas Howard y Octavia Spencer sobre los conflictos raciales que se vivían en los ’60 en los Estados Unidos. En ese momento creí que la historia iba a ser una comedia más que nada, pero el pañuelo al lado mío dice lo contrario: lloré como hace mucho no lo hacía con una película.
