‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’, en la búsqueda de Mary Jane Watson

Semanas atrás se confirmó el retorno de Andrew Garfield y el director Marc Webb para la segunda parte de lo que se espera sea una nueva trilogía del superhéroe arácnido. Pero ahora los rumores se ocupan del nuevo interés romántico del joven Peter Parker.

Ganadores de los premios Oscar

Anoche Hollywood se vistió de gala para dar vida al máximo galardón de la industria del cine. En esta ocasión, y por el octogésimo cuarto año consecutivo, la AcademiadeArtesyCienciasCinematográficas volvió a desplegar todo su esplendor para reconocer a lo mejor de la industria.

 Tal como veníamos anticipando el Oscar a Mejor Película se lo llevó ElArtista (TheArtist), la cinta francesa, muda y en blanco y negro, dirigida por el francés MichelHazanavicius, quien también se quedó con la estatuilla a Mejor Director. Además, el largometraje logró 5 premios de las 10 nominaciones obtenidas. Entre ellos mejor banda de sonora para LudovicBource, y mejor vestuario y mejor actor protagónico.

 La otra gran favorita de la noche era Hugo (LaInvencióndeHugoCabret), la película de MartinScorsese que contaba con 11 candidaturas, de las cuales logró 5 estatuillas en los rubros visuales y sonoros. Por lo que se llevó a casa los premios por mejor dirección artística, mejores efectos visuales, mejor fotografía, mejor sonido y mejor montaje de sonido. Por su parte, el mejor montaje fue para La Chica con el Dragón Tatuado (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo).

En las categorías actorales no hubo muchas sorpresas. El veterano ChristopherPlummer y OctaviaSpencer volvieron a consagrarse una vez más como los mejores actor y actriz de reparto por sus labores en Begginers (Principiantes) y TheHelp (HistoriasCruzadas), respectivamente. En lo que respecta a los roles protagónicos, JeanDujardin se consagró como el mejor actor por su gran actuación en ElArtista, imponiéndose sobre GerogeClooney, otro de los candidatos favoritos por su rol en LosDescendientes (The Descendants).

Sin lugar a dudas la gran contienda de la noche se dio en el rubro femenino. Entre las cinco candidatas nominadas a mejor actriz, no había dudas que tanto MerylStreep como ViolaDavis, eran los platos fuertes de la noche. Entre mucha expectativa y especulaciones, Streep terminó siendo la vencedora y logró su cuarta estatuilla, luego de 29 años, de la mano de ColinFirth, ganador del Oscar a mejor actor por ElDiscursodelRey. Con 17 nominaciones a los premios de la Academia, luego de 29 años Meryl vuelve a consagrarse como la mejor actriz de todos los tiempos.

En las categorías literarias, el mejor guión original fue para un ausente WoodyAllen, por su filme MedianocheenParís, mientras que el mejor guión adaptado fue para AlexanderPayne por LosDescendientes (TheDescendants). Rango resultó elegida la mejor película animada, y Los Muppets se consagró con la mejor canción original. Por otro lado, la representante de Irán, UnaSeparación (ASeparation) se llevó el Oscar a la mejor película extranjera, y el largometraje documental Undefeated se quedó con el galardón en ese rubro. A continuación todos los ganadores:

Ganadores de los Independent Spirit Awards

En el día de ayer el Cine Independiente celebró su noche de premios, los Independent Spirit Awards, que tradicionalmente se entregan un día antes que los Oscar. De todas las cintas nominadas, la película El Artista terminó con cuatro premios incluyendo mejor película, mejor director para Michele Hazanavicius, mejor actor para el protagonista Jean Dujardin, y mejor montaje.

Votación a los Premios Oscar

Falta tan sólo una semana para la ceremonia de entrega de los Premios de la Academia. Si bien a esta altura ya más o menos podemos estimar quiénes se llevarán la estatuilla, en el Rincón Cinemático queremos que ustedes nos digan quiénes son sus candidatos favoritos para llevarse el Oscar:  

 

   

       

Review: ‘The Descendants’

Película: The Descendants (Los Descencientes)

No veíamos una película de Alexander Payne desde el año 2004 cuando hizo Entre Copas. La película no sólo contó con un excelente reparto, sino que además logró varias nominaciones al Oscar y a los Globos de Oro. Nuevamente Payne nos trae otro drama en el que el dolor y la pérdida logran ser matizados por el entendimiento,  la reflexión, y un tono cuasi cómico que este cineasta tiende a darle a sus filmes.
