Anoche se entregaron los Emmy Awards, los premios que otorga la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Televisivas de Hollywood, que reconocen lo mejor de la pantalla chica.
Tal como arrojaron las predicciones, Game of Thrones se consagró como la Mejor Serie Dramática. La ficción de HBO coronó la noche del domingo con uno de los premios máximos de la ceremonia. Además, uno de los protagonistas de la serie, Peter Dinklage, se llevó la estatuilla a Mejor Actor de Reparto.
Otro de los grandes reconocimientos de la noche fue para Jodie Comer, la protagonista de Killing Eve, que se quedó con el Emmy a Mejor Actriz en Drama. Mientras que Billy Porter se quedó con el galardón a Mejor Actor por su actuación en Pose.
La sorpresa de la noche vino por el lado de la comedia. Si bien estaba entre las posibles ganadoras, la británica Fleabag dio el batacazo y se quedó con cuatro galardones, incluido Mejor Serie de Comedia y Mejor Dirección. Por su parte, la actriz, guionista y productora de la serie, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, se quedó con las categorías de Mejor Actriz de Comedia y Mejor Guión.
Por el lado de las miniseries, Chernobyl se consagró como la Mejor Miniserie, derrotando al drama de Netflix, When They See Us. El único que logró el reconocimiento por dicho drama fue Jharrel Jerome como Mejor Actor en Miniserie. Por su parte, la actriz Michelle Williams se quedó con el premio a Mejor Actriz en Miniserie por su rol en Fosse/Verdon.
