En algunas horas más se conocerán los ganadores de los Premios de la Academia. Pero antes se entregarán los Film Independent Spirit Awards, los galardones que premian las producciones más allegadas al circuito independiente.
La cinta If Beale Street Could Talk, dirigida por Barry Jenkins, se quedó con el premio a Mejor Película y Mejor Director. Asimismo, una de sus protagonistas, Regina King, se consagró como la Mejor Actriz Secundaria. Recordemos que King también está nominada al Oscar en el mismo rubro.
Por otro lado, Roma se alzó con el galardón a Mejor Película Internacional. La cinta dirigida por Alfonso Cuarón es la gran candidata a llevarse el Oscar a Mejor Película, lo que pondría en duda su triunfo en la categoría de Mejor Película Extranjera.
Otra que destacó esta noche fue Suspiria, la remake de Luca Guadagnino, que tiene de protagonistas a Dakota Johnson y Tilda Swinton. El largometraje fue reconocido con el Robert Altman Award, así como con el Spirit a Mejor Fotografía.
