La Academia acaba de dar a conocer los nominados de la 89° edición de los Premios de la Academia.
Desde hace algunos meses que el nombre La La Land no para sonar entre los círculos de críticos y los principales festivales y certámenes cinematográficos. Y la verdad es que el musical dirigido por Damien Chazelle es imparable. La cinta protagonizada por Emma Stone y Ryan Gosling se alza con 14 nominaciones a los Premios de la Academia, y alcanza el récord histórico de nominaciones previamente obtenido por All About Eve (1950) y Titanic (1997).
Un paso atrás se ubican Arrival y Moonlight, con 8 candidaturas cada una. Mientras que Hacksaw Ridge, Lion y Manchester by the Sea lograron 6 nominaciones; y Fences y Hell or High Water 4 cada una.
Si bien no hubo grandes sorpresas, llama la atención la ausencia de Amy Adams, la protagonista del thriller de acción Arrival, en la categoría de Mejor Actriz. Similar es el caso de Hugh Grant, quien quedó fuera de la terna de Actor de Reparto por su actuación en Florence Foster Jenkins; o de Aaron Taylor-Johnson, quien ganó el Globo de Oro por su actuación en Nocturnal Animals. En su lugar, la Academia eligió a Michael Shannon, también protagonista del drama dirigido por Tom Ford.
La ceremonia de premiación de la 89° edición de los Premios de la Academia será conducida por Jimmy Kimmel y se llevará a cabo el domingo 26 de febrero en el Dolby Theatre de Hollywood.
