La temporada de premiaciones ya se vive a pleno. El domingo se celebró la ceremonia de premiación de los Golden Globes. Hoy se dieron a conocer las nominaciones a los BAFTA, los galardones que otorga la Academia Británica de Cine.
Destinada a hacer un poco de historia, el musical La La Land, dirigido por Damiel Chazelle se mantiene en la cima y se alza con 11 nominaciones. Muy de cerca la siguen Nocturnal Animals y Arrival con 9 candidaturas cada una.
La categoría a Mejor Película se termina de componer con Manchester by the Sea, Moonlight y I, Daniel Blake.
Las categorías de actuación también incluyen algunas sorpresas. En la terna femenina ingresó Emily Blunt por su actuación en The Girl on the Train, mientras que Isabelle Huppert (Elle), quien se llevó el Globo de Oro a Mejor Actriz, quedó fuera de la categoría. Por el lado de los hombres no hay muchas sorpresas, aunque la ausencia más grande podría ser la de Denzel Washington (Fences).
Al igual que los Golden Globes, el BAFTA tienen tradición de ser una gran fuente de predicción a la hora de señalar los ganadores de los Premios Oscar, por lo que estaremos atentos a quiénes resultarán ganadores de esta nueva edición de los BAFTA.
