Anoche se llevó a cabo la 68° entrega de los Emmy Awards, los galardones que reconocen lo mejor de la pantalla chica. Este año la ceremonia conducida por Jimmy Kimmel, quien hizo su entrada triunfal acompañado de Daenerys Targaryen volando en uno de sus dragones.
El drama tuvo su tiempo para brillar, pero sin duda fue Game of Thrones la máxima ganadora de la noche con 12 estatuillas. La serie de HBO se llevó tres galardones a lo largo de la noche, sumado a los 9 premios en las categorías técnicas ganados hace algunos días.
La actriz Tatiana Maslany, nominada por segundo año consecutivo por su brillante actuación en Orphan Black, finalmente se llevó el Emmy a Mejor Actriz en Drama. El actor Rami Malek, que da vida al extraño hacker de Mr. Robot, hizo lo propio en la terna de Mejor Actor en Drama.
En la categoría de Serie Limitada, la gran ganadora de la noche fue The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, que incluso acaparó varias de las ternas actorales.
Una de las favoritas de los fans, Sherlock, se quedó con la estatuilla a Mejor Película para TV, con su especial victoriano Sherlock: The Abominable Bride.
Las categorías de comedia fueron de lo más variadas. La aclamada serie de Amazon, Transparent, se llevó varios galardones, incluidos Mejor Actor para Jeffrey Tambor, quien emocionó a todo el auditorio con su sentido discurso a favor de la comunidad trans. La actriz Julia Louis-Dreyfus hizo historia al ganar su quinto Emmy consecutivo a Mejor Actriz por su protagónico en Veep. La comedia de HBO también se quedó con el premio a Mejor Comedia.
Perlita: El mejor momento de la noche lo protagonizaron los chicos del reparto de Stranger Things – Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo y Caleb McLaughlin- quienes fueron los encargados de repartir snacks en bicicleta a todos los invitados del lugar.
