Ayer por la noche la Asociación de Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood entregó los Golden Globe Awards. Antes de conocerse los nominados a los Premios de la Academia, ya tenemos los primeros ganadores oficiales de la temporada.
Una vez más el mexicano Alejandro González Iñárritu volvió a triunfar con The Revenant (El Renacido), llevándose el premio a Mejor Película Dramática y Mejor Director. Además, su protagonista Leonardo DiCaprio finalmente se llevó el galardón a Mejor Actor que ya desde algún tiempo se merecía.
Aunque todavía no sabemos bien por qué la Asociación de Prensa puso a The Martian en la categoría de comedia, la cinta de Ridley Scott también obtuvo reconocimiento al llevarse el Globo de Oro a Mejor Película de Comedia y Mejor Actor para su protagonista Matt Damon.
Una de las ternas más complejas de la noche fue la de Mejor Actriz pero los críticos finalmente se inclinaron por la dramática actuación de Brie Larson en Room. Y como era de esperar, Jennifer Lawrence se quedó con la estatuilla a Mejor Actriz de Comedia por su rol en Joy, la cinta de David O. Russell que ni Lawrence pudo convertir en un éxito. En las categorías de reparto, Kate Winslet fue la primera ganadora de la noche por su actuación en la biopic Steve Jobs, y Sylvester Stallone por su mítico interpretación como Rocky Balboa en Creed.
Por el lado de la televisión hubo algunas sorpresas, empezando que este año los principales shows ganadores son contenidos originales creados por las plataformas on demand que no paran de crecer entre las audiencias. Las grandes ganadoras de la noche fueron Mozart in the Jungle, la serie de de Amazon protagonizada por Gael García Bernal que también fue premiado por su actuación.La mejor serie dramática resultó ser la aclamada Mr. Robot, y la británica Wolf Hall como Mejor Miniserie.
