Con resultados poco sorpresivos y a dos semanas del Oscar, los BAFTA 2015 entregaron sus premios y todavía no sabemos quién será la gran triunfadora en los premios más esperados de Hollywood. La Academia Británica dio a conocer a sus favoritos esta noche en una gala conducida por Stephen Fry.
Con muy pocos premios, Boyhood se quedó con los grandes galardones de la noche, a Mejor Película y Mejor Director para Richard Linklater. Por su parte, The Theory of Everything se quedó con el premio a Mejor Actor para su protagonista Eddie Redmayne, Mejor Película Británica y Mejor Guión Adaptado.
Otra de las grandes triunfadoras de la noche fue The Grand Budapest Hotel que se llevó sus merecidos reconocimientos por la gran puesta en escena de la cinta, Mejor Diseño de Producción, Mejor Vestuario, Mejor Banda Sonora, Mejor Maquillaje y Mejor Guión Original. Whiplash tuvo su momento con el reconocimiento a Mejor Edición y Mejor Actor de Reparto para J.K. Simmons. Lamentablemente, Birdman se tuvo que conformar con la estatuilla a Mejor Cinematografía.
