En el día de ayer se celebró la 35º edición de los London Film Critics’ Circle Awards. La cinta independiente Boyhood, dirigida por Richard Linklater, sigue acaparando los principales premios de la industria, y para el Círculo de Críticos de Londres fue la Mejor Película del año.
En las categorías de actuación ya prácticamente está todo cantado. Julianne Moore que quedó con el premio a Mejor Actriz por su actuación en Still Alice, y Michael Keaton fue pronunciado Mejor Actor por su rol el Birdman. En la terna de reparto volvemos a ver los nombres de Patricia Arquette (Boyhood) y J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) como los mejores de su categoría. Por su parte, Wes Anderson se tuvo que conformar con el premio a Mejor Guión por The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Del lado de los británicos, Under the Skin resultó ser la Mejor Película Británica del Año, que también se llevó un reconocimiento para su compositor, Mica Levi. Los actores Rosamund Pike y Thimothy Spall se quedaron con el galardón a Mejor Actriz y Actor Británico, respectivamente.
