‘Birdman’ arrasa en los Critics Choice Awards 2015

Anoche se entregaron los Critics’ Choice Awards, los premios que otorga la Asociación de Críticos. Recién salidas del horno las nominaciones al Oscar 2015, con algunas sorpresas y otras decepciones, los críticos supieron repartir reconocimientos de forma más equitativa y justa. Sin embargo, Birdman y Boyhood acapararon la mayor cantidad de galardones de la noche. 

La cinta Boyhood de Richard Linklater, logró el premio a Mejor Película, Mejor Director, Mejor Actriz de Reparto para Patricia Arquette y para su protagonista, Ellar Coltrane, como Mejor Actor Joven. Por su parte, la historia sobre el héroe en decadencia de Alejandro González Iñárritu, se llevó 7 premios en el resto de las categorías. Incluyendo doble reconocimiento para el actor Michael Keaton que se quedó con las ternas de Mejor Actor y Mejor Actor en Comedia.

Otra de las favoritas, The Grand Budapest Hotel de Wes Anderson se llevó a casa el premio a Mejor Comedia, y otros reconocimientos en categorías artísticas. El gran éxito de los estudios Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy fue elegida como Mejor Película de Acción, y también por su trabajo en Maquillaje. 

La argentina Relatos Salvajes, que competía por el premio a Mejor Película Extranjera, perdió frente a la sueca Force Majeure (Fuerza Mayor). Por otro lado, las ignoradas por la Academia de Hollywood, The LEGO Movie y Gone Girl, obtuvieron su galardón a Mejor Película Animada y Mejor Guión Adaptado, respectivamente. 

La actriz Jessica Chastain fue reconocida con el BFCA’s MVP Award por su participación en el cine en 2014, tras haber protagonizado cuatro films: Interstellar, Miss Julie, A Most Violent Year y The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby. El director Ron Howard también fue premiado por su contribución al cine con el Louis XIII Genius Award, y Kevin Costner recibió el Lifetime Achievement Award, un premio a la trayectoria.
