Nominaciones a los BAFTA 2015

Uno de los premios fuertes de la industria ha dado a conocer a sus nominados. Los candidatos a los BAFTA 2015 no son ninguna sorpresa, pero sí lo son algunas películas que han sido dejadas de lado. El fantástico relato de Wes Anderson, The Grand Budapest Hotel, encabeza la lista de nominados con 11 candidaturas, incluyendo Mejor Película, Mejor Director y Mejor Actor para su protagonista Ralph Fiennes. La siguen de cerca Birdman y The Theory of Everything con 10 nominaciones cada una, seguida de The Imitation Game con 9 y Boyhood con 5.

Las categorías de actuación se mantienen igual, con Benedict Cumberbatch y Eddie Redmayne como los favoritos en la terna a Mejor Actor, y Julianne Moore, Amy Adams y Felicty Jones entre las posibles mejores actrices. La sorpresa es la inclusión de Rosamund Pike en esa misma categoría por su gran actuación en Gone Girl.

Sin embargo, la película británica Mr. Turner, la biopic dirigida por Mike Leigh, ha sido totalmente ignorada por la Academia Británica logrando algunas candidaturas en las categorías técnicas. Ni siquiera un reconocimiento para su protagonista Timothy Spall que se llevó el premio a mejor actuación en el Festival de Cannes del año pasado. Otra de las favoritas en esta temporada de premiaciones es Boyhood, dirigida por Richard Linklater y que a pesar de sus pocas nominaciones, ha quedado entre las categorías más relevantes.

En anticipación a los Premios de la Academia, la 68º edición de los BAFTA se llevará a cabo el domingo 08 de Febrero, en una ceremonia conducido por Stephen Fry. A continuación la lista de nominados:
